Local Harvest- a listing service for farms, markets, and retailers that sell local food. Look for our listing! New Farm: Farm Locator- a listing service for farms that is run by the Rodale Institute. Look for our listing here too! NY Ag&Mkts Resources for Finding Local Farms- the state has searchable listings for local farms as well as a list of other sites which list local farms. CSAs are not included in this listing, but retail farm stands are. Eat well guide- another searchable listing for fresh local foods. Green People- a directory of eco-friendly food, farm and health products. Look for our listing! All About Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Robyn Van En Center for CSA Resources at Wilson College- an organization that looks to support CSA farms. Equiterre- an organization funded by the province of Quebec that promotes CSA farms in Canada. Gardening Helps and Pest Control Cornell Extension: Vegetable Growing Guides- guides for growing vegetables and ornamental plants in New York. Ecological Pest Management Database- information on organic and sutainable pest management options. Vegetable MD Online- a reference for info on vegetable diseases maintained by the Cornell Plant Pathology Dept. The Berry Diagnostic Tool- an online reference for berry pests put out by the Cornell Horticulture Dept. IPM guidelines for commercial vegetable production Info for pest managment in upstate NY--put together by Cornell. IPM Laboratories- sale of beneficial insects for pest control. HDRA Organic Weed Management- information on weed control, ecology, and identification. Northeastern IPM Center- Pest managment information for growers in the northeastern United States. North American Plant Disease Forecast Center- forecast for downy mildew, which devestates cucurbits in the late summer early fall. Vegetable varieties for gardeners- Cornell's site where farmers and gardeners post their opinions on different vegetable varieties. NY Ag&Mkts Organic Farming Resource Center- a listing of information for organic producers and consumers. Deer Defenses- a list of resources to protect your garden from deer--maintained by Cornell. Seed and Supplies Fedco- organic and untreated seed, organic grower supplies. Johnny's Selected Seeds- seeds and gardening supplies. Cummins Nursery- fruit trees. The New Farm Organic Price Report- reports current prices for vegetables and fruits and some of the large urban terminal markets to help you with setting wholesale prices.
