Garden in October 2007.

Oct 2007--It's mostly just weeds and rocks left in the garden now. But there are still some potatoes, carrots, greens, and other goodies hidden in there.

Spring greens in the cold frames.

April 2007- we get an early start to the spring greens by starting them in the cold frames. All this will soon be delicious salad mix!

Apples.

2007: Our apple trees haven't started bearing fruit yet, but we found a huge old tree at a neighboring farm. Nobody sprays or prunes it, but it is covered with apples every year. We use them mostly for making apple sauce and cider. We also hope to graft some buds from this tree onto soom rootstock that we planted at our farm.

Cold frames.

April 2007--A picture of our cold frames where we start all our transplants from seed. They have a heating wire that runs along the ground to keep them warm when nights are really cold.

The garden dance.

June 2007--Working in the garden is so fun that we can't resist doing an occasional jig to celebrate.
