Chickens.

We got a couple chickens to see how it goes. Maybe later we'll get more and offer eggs in the CSA.

Hatching squash bugs.

We had real trouble with insect pests on all our cucurbit crops this year (squash, melons, cucumbers). This is a picture of one of the 'bad guys'--squash bugs--hatching from some eggs we collected.

Lucky for us, we had some 'good guys' too. These are some ladybug larvae hatching on our apple tree that had a bit of an aphid infestation.
